Filmaka.com just posted their next contest! They're looking for
pitches for a web series about people and their cars. You submit a
detailed written synopsis of a film 3 to 5 minutes in length, with 4
or 5 more episode ideas intended to total around 30 minutes of
original webisodic content. Finalists receive $5000 each. General
Motors is sponsoring the contest and if they decide to produce final
pitches, they will fund the production. Filmaka.com will start
accepting submissions in the middle of next week and the contest
closes March 11. Details at: http://www.filmaka.com/gm/

Oh schweet!!! Yeah that project is on hiatus but let me know if you ever visit LA. I always have ideas floating around (read all my blogs hehehee). And I'd love to help you out as well if possible. I protested on the streets of San francisco the morning after the Iraq war was launched in 2003. My friends and I were one of the first groups to get arrested that day.

Current filmmaking concerns:
Well, I'm starting to get "hired" to produce films for a particular organization but that just came about by luck, so I need some advice on trying to market myself and my work and get more jobs especially starting in the fall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
About my films:
I make films pertaining but not exclusively to peace. My recent topics cover: Hiroshima, the Killing Fields of Cambodia, anti-war/pro-peace movements, meditation and spirituality.
