- WIFV/NE is dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women involved in all areas of film, video, television and multimedia. Our members include directors, producers, camera and sound operators, art directors, production assistants, gaffers, actors, voiceover artists, entertainment attorneys, film festival coordinators, and more. Besides our regular programming, which includes screenings, social gatherings, special-interest group meetings, workshops and more, WIFV/NE members will find many opportunities to network and learn about the industry through informal contacts.
Membership in Women in Film & Video/New England is open to women and men who work in the film, video and related industries or those who aspire to working in these fields.

Please be our guest... WIFVNE is offering Hands-On Web Workshops for filmmakers and other media makers this fall. The first event, held on Saturday, September 15, 2007, will focus on social networking, blogging, rss feeds, and uploading video. The Hands-On Web Workshop will be held at MIT and is free for all WIFVNE members.

Join this Ning Network
pitches for a web series about people and their cars. You submit a
detailed written synopsis of a film 3 to 5 minutes in length, with 4
or 5 more episode ideas intended to total around 30 minutes of
original webisodic content. Finalists receive $5000 each. General
Motors is sponsoring the contest and if they decide to produce final
pitches, they will fund the production. Filmaka.com will start
accepting submissions in the middle of next week and the contest
