- I'm the Executive Director of the Independent Film Festival of Boston that takes place at the end of April every year. This year our dates are April 23-29, 2008. We'll have over 150 screenings at the Somerville, Coolidge Corner, and Brattle Theaters, as well as panel discussions by day and parties at night. Independent Film Festival of Boston Ticket Sales; Festival runs 4/23 to 4/29
Filmmakers Workshop is sponsoring the Opening Night party of the 6th annual Independent Film Festival of Boston following the Opening Night film Transsiberian with director Brad Anderson and other special guests in attendance. Over 150 screenings, nightly parties, weekend panel discussions, over 100 guest filmmakers, celebs, special guests and more! Opening night takes place Wednesday April 23rd at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square at 7:30pm.

pitches for a web series about people and their cars. You submit a
detailed written synopsis of a film 3 to 5 minutes in length, with 4
or 5 more episode ideas intended to total around 30 minutes of
original webisodic content. Finalists receive $5000 each. General
Motors is sponsoring the contest and if they decide to produce final
pitches, they will fund the production. Filmaka.com will start
accepting submissions in the middle of next week and the contest
