The Independent Film Festival of Boston celebrates its sixth year April 23-29 at the Boston area's most historic art-house cinemas, the Somerville Theatre, the Brattle Theatre, and the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Over 23,000 attended the 2007 festival and we expect more for 2008. 125 screenings will be held along with nightly parties and weekend panel discussions. Accepted filmmakers will be provided with all-access passes and will enjoy our filmmaker lounge stocked with gourmet food, beverages, games, internet access, press interview areas, and massage therapists. The festival is seeking narrative features, documentary features, short films, animation, experimental films, horror & sci-fi, and New England-themed films. Early deadline is Sept.30, Regular deadline is Dec.31, and Late Deadline is Jan.31. Accepted films may not screen in the state of Massachussets between acceptance date and IFFBoston screening date. Recognized as the premier film festival in Boston by the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Boston Phoenix, and the book The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide.
